The Designer
Our models were conceived by Christine of "Living Lace." Born of a family with a long history in luxury textiles, Christine has spent all of her life in the world of fabric and lace. She is well known throughout France for her particular expertise in antique lace and has dedicated herself to breathing new life into centuries of women's handwork. The design of her models translates her immense knowledge of the architecture of lace and fabric as well as her passion for contemporary style. To realize these she uses the finest and most beautiful specimens available, antique or modern, and adapts the form of her designs to their unique characteristics. Each piece is an homage to femininity. |
The Materials
The lace and fabric chosen for our creations are the result of an extensive and ongoing effort to bring together the exceptional and the unique. There exist in the world today precious few examples of genuine handmade lace, which explains why we can realize only a limited number of our models. All of our fabrics were loomed in Europe, most of these in France. The lace that we incorporate into our clothing items are most often one-of-a-kind examples that were hand made in France. Occasionally we use antique machine made lace, especially the earlier examples, because these can be charming and perfectly adapted to the clothing items we envision. In addition this allows us to offer very beautiful pieces at a more modest price. |
The Fabrication
All of our clothing items are created in Lyon, France which is one of the world renowned capitals of luxury textiles. These are hand sewn by artisans experienced in haute couture who are capable of meeting all of your demands. |
The Sizes
Each item pictured is unique, available exactly as shown in the size/s indicated and can be custom tailored to your individual requirements. All of the models shown are available in any size on a custom made basis. As these pieces incorporate one-of-a-kind and often hand made antique lace, the actual lace used in the fabrication of any of our models may differ slightly from those pictured on our website. It is our goal throughout the creation process to work as closely as possible with you in order to achieve a perfect and beautiful fit! |
