A delightfully decorated pure white sheet loomed of a blend of the finest grade of linen (fil de lin) and cotton. A central circular monogram CL is embroidered in bourdon, plumetis and post point in true art deco style beneath which lie two large bands of big embroidered polka dots with an inset of net lace in between featuring alternating flowers and butterflies. Two rows of drawn thread windowpanes frame the embroidered bands which, all together, make for an impressive display of embroidery! Metis, the French word for blend (in this case linen/cotton) comes in varying grades of quality, but this one is superior with a large percentage of very high grade linen which gives to the sheet a slightly weighty but silken drape.
