Crowned by a count! A supremely elegant set of two pure white linen damask guest hand towels with the distinction that they bear the crown of a count. These towels, loomed of an extremely refined medium weight and silky grade of "fil de lin" linen damask, have a small and perfectly accomplished monogram "LN" embroidered in bourdon with the nine pointed comtal crown just above. A lovely scrolling motif in the damask frames the towels while their central area is loomed of a subtly textured waffle weave. The top and bottom edges are finely hemstitched and the lengthwise edges are selvedged. Early 20th c. Four additional sets of two towels available upon request. Dimensions: 32.5 x 27.5in.
