A lovely and very elegant set of twelve pure white dinner napkins loomed of a medium weight linen/cotton blend with a textured weave known in France as "granite." These pretty napkins have a large monogram with the initials "BM" embroidered in one corner in a graceful bourdon and post point, and embellished with embroidered lilies of the valley in bourdon and tige point. A pretty crossed drawn thread row of embroidery borders each piece, and a second fancy row makes an interior frame which crosses over itself to form a box shape in each corner. These napkins likely never served as they are in impeccable condition, pure white and immaculate. Mid-20th c. Dimensions: 35.5 x 27.5in.
