A very pretty pair of pillow shams loomed of a crisp white blend of "fil de lin" linen and cotton. These lovely shams have a fancy monogram "LR" in one corner and an ornately embroidered scalloped edge featuring English cutwork embroidered circles. An unusual row of ladderwork, executed in a very fine reticello embroidery, frames each sham and they close at the back with three mother-of-pearl buttons. Impeccable condition. Mid 20th century.
