A stunning service of eleven luxuriously large napkins loomed of an exceptional quality of pure white linen damask with a very silken texture and a slight sheen. These lovely napkins have an elegant central monogram, "BR," exquisitely embroidered in bourdon and embellished with a stylized fleur de lys. The damask shows an overall pattern of floral bouquets with a large border frieze that repeats the bouquet motif in a frame of arabesques and stylized flowers. This very refined service likely dates from the late 19th century and is in impeccable condition. Hand hemmed with miniscule stitches. Dimensions: 34 x 27in.
